  Local Needs Talk....Why Are People Missing Meetings?

  i wasn't there, but a friend called and said the local needs part was how the congregation is having a serious problem.

  " meeting attendance has never been as low as it has been this year!

  if anyone here knows of someone who is not attending meetings please stop in on them to let them know they are making satan happy.

  what if the wt was capable of preventing not only their own victims from reading the truth, but succeeded in intimidating nearly every bookstore on the earth from carrying a book damaging to their cause?

  scientology makes the wt look like mushy old men in diapers.

  No it is still an idol by biblical standard whether your in or out of Jw's

  Deuteronomy 5:8
  "You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below.

  Deuteronomy 29:17
  You saw among them their detestable images and idols of wood and stone, of silver and gold.

  Reiana : If you do some research you will find that an idol is an image which is a statue that is freestanding.

  Webster:

  1 : a reproduction or imitation of the form of a person or thing ; especially : an imitation in solid form :statue a three-dimensional representation usually of a person, animal, or mythical being that is produced by sculpturing, modeling, or casting

  Anything in heaven above? It could be angels, birds, or something you create that looks like God!

  OR on the earth beneath; Humans ,trees, cat, dog, bugs, a worm, what someone might think hell looks like, or false gods.

  OR in the water below; Fish, whale, or a Greek gods.

  Now I want you to think about how many images you saw in your JW friends houses, parents, at bible study groups! Probably many! Or children playing with dolls.

  If you do some research you will see that ancient images were nothing more than a wood and stone, of silver and gold. rock with two eye and little round bodies! People or animals.

  Did you know that dolls were actual images? Sure in the ancient day dolls were created so that children would know who their false gods were! How many Jehovahs Witness allow their children to play with false gods just like the children in the bible days. Hebrew neighbors.

  As a JW child I played with dolls all the time, how about YOU? it is an idol and freestanding statue. The children back in the day probably thought they were just playing with a doll like I did growing up as a JW.

  One time, I went to a book study, a house owned by the Kingdom Hall, there sit a pair of doves on a book shelf. Did anyone ever consider that it was an image of something in heavens, freestanding statue. No because they did not bow down to it! That is a doctrine.

  The bible does not say that you need to worship them it is a two fold command. DO NOT MAKE THEM nor BOW DOWN TO THEM!

  Today we have them made for us! dolls, figurines, statues of any kind!

  Thanks for the reminder, did you know in the old testament days, I forgot the names of these bracelets that the Hebrew women wore, they would have a bracelets that carried scriptures on them so people coulc enjoy reading Gods word! They also, wore God’s name on their clothing.

  I would love to have a bracelet that I can place scriptures in them to go over all day long!

  Also, a cross as a necklace is not a statue and therefore it is not an idol.

  Well that my thoughts! Did you know that in the last days false gods will not be remembered but in the Trinity pamphlets written by the WTBTS they are spoken about and named. It is like a lesson on false gods. And there is no comparison to the Almighty God so why bother trying.

  What do you think of man was created in God's image? Just a thought

  Yes, because it represents a stake that Jesus died on! The cross beam was placed there by the Romans that is how they carried Jesus out to hang him up. Anyhow, I think it is okay to wear a cross, but I would never have a statue or something hanging on my wall thats freestanding! That would make it an idol!

  at least i gotta let it go...it is the only chance to save my marriage.

  have you ever noticed how so many poster here mostly have bitter/angry comments?

  of course we all have good reasons for that, but part of my goinsolo marriage counseling is to just breath deep and start letting go of my anger and frustration....esp related to my desire and efforts at waking up family and friends.

  I have enjoyed your humor on here! I wish you and your wife the best and things will get better if you focus your attention on something else!

  There are some good points with the JW: you have good friends and it sounds like you have a good relationship with your wife and son! People on here would like that kind of life!

  So I guess it is okay to say that Jehovah is in the New Testament and move on to somethings YOU do have control over some topics! It is a mental thing and it is not your fault but letting it go! I dont think any of us can! Sorry I am just being honest! How can we let it go?

  What I mean is that the WTBTS strange teachings has ripped a hole in my spiritual well being, so How can anyone let that go! It is the core foundation of my enter life with God! or is that Jehovah?

  I went through hell just to get reinstated, that took over 10 years, just to find out that I did not know what they taught! It's like the scales had fallen off my eyes! and when that happened there was no going back to something that is not there! How? I thank one friend out there that did a lot of reseach with me to answer some of my questions! she found out how little she really knew and her her eyes were opened but I saw another shattered person sit next to me.

  I am very much frustrated with other churches and what they teach, now where do I go to gather myself together with like minded people? In spiritual limbo like many exjws! Yes, you gotta let it go but with what you know I think that is a fantasy! I am sure your marriage and life has changed.

  My life and how I viewed them as the only truth is gone! You can try to let it go! I did but it only gave me more heart ache! You can not let your memory files go! they are there for life.

  it makes clear that we should trust the faithful and discreet slave because jehovah and jesus trust the "slave".

  the slave has been faithfully providing spiritual food for 130 years.

  Does the Revelation Its Grand Climax At Hand say they are prophets going door to door? I thought prophets are inspired by God to do his will and make prophecy? Wew that article is something else! Did you paste these different WT articles together?

  Every JW should be asked...

  the following 2 questions when they arrive at your door with the watchtower society's 'good news' and their jesus (the prehuman angel michael, the human jesus and a resurrected spirit creature [6/15/06 watchtower page 30]) who is 3 persons in one:.

  the first question is, if you truly abstain from blood, how can you belong to a religion that allows parts of blood?.

  the second question is, would you donate blood so that the fractions allowed by the watchtower society could save the life of one of your jehovah's witness brothers or sisters?.

  The Red Cross site explains all those parts of blood as blood! Just like a big pie with fractions it still comes from blood. In fact even the WTBTS has an article about blood using the same methods!

  So people get disfellowshipped for blood transfustion,shunned left in a spiritual dead state, but if doctors can take out a portion of the blood then it is a matter of personal decision?

  It's the same concept with their abortion doctrine! If a woman is getting ready to die she can have an abortion to save her life, but if she is not and she has an abortion then she gets disfellowshipped. They are both abortions!

  I guess that is another subject!

  a good while back i purchased some space on a web server, hoping to develop out an ex-jw website of sorts.

  that didn't really pan out as planned, but i still have the server space and decided to do something with it.

  i've uploaded just about every single computer document i have that is related to the watchtower is some way, which comes at about just under 6 gigabytes.

  Good site! I see there are a few books I could down load! and gasp!

  I did not see the Jehovah book important book because the last chapter you must believe that the League or United Nations is Satan organization than you are ready to get baptized into God's organization!

  now that prince is starting a bible study with the rest of the world, we will most likely not need all the other complicated explanations about the bible and life.

  this is the truth!!

  I finally said it...It's time for us to get divorce

  i asked my wife over the weekend for a divorce...1st let me say that this sight gives support for those affected by the borg - ex-jw's, ubm's etc...but it also consumes some of us.

  of this i am guilty.

  i have developed such a disdain for the wtbs that i can no longer have a conversation with my wife without attacking her religion.
